Wow. That’s about what comes to mind, I am still slightly in shock. Yesterday my agents (I still like saying that :)) closed a deal for 20th Century Fox to acquire CyberStorm for turning it into a film–the only details of which I can reveal are that it’s a “major” deal.

This caps quite the amazing adventure since I first self-published CyberStorm a little over three and a half months ago. It has steadily climbed in sales, now at #1 in the sci-fi and tech-thriller categories, outselling even World War Z and Ender’s Game despite their marketing budgets – amazing what word-of-mouth can do!
Of course, this may just be the start. Now I’m getting inundated by waves of emails…so we’ll have to see where this leads! Will just have to sit back and take it all in…
Thank you to everyone who helped me along on this journey!!
Just finished reading “Cyberstorm” and really enjoyed it! Made me really think about our world. A movie based on the book would be great. My son would make a great Vince!
Cyberstorm – Read, enjoyed and gave a review for the book.
Great job. Just finished books by Thor, Silva, Stephenson and Huston.
I would put yours in their class.
Just finished the book and thought: “that would make an amazing film”. Excellent news! š
Congratulations! I’m trying to learn from what you’ve done and self-publish a novel in the not so distant future. Cyberstorm is on my reading list! Hope it makes it to theaters!
That’s GREAT Matthew. Can’t wait to see it. I really hope you get a script writer that doesn’t try to Hollywoodize it too much. Hope you get script approval.
Never heard of the book but I saw it on Amazon last night and thought it was interesting so I bought it. WOW! I read a quarter of the book so far and thought that it would make an amazing movie. Searched on Google and was excited to see that it could be in the works soon. If I had more to time read I think I would have been done with the book already. It’s hard to put it down.
Fantastic! I do hope the movie follows closely the intricate details of the novel and its characters, and does it due justice. CyberStorm invokes deep contemplation on a tangible what-if scenario, and is brilliantly scripted to encompass many facets of interconnected humanity and technology concepts. As is customarily the case, I’m sure the book will be better than the movie, but I’m looking forward to the movie all the same. I hope to see Atopia Chronicles hit the big screen as well, but imagine the special effects wizardry necessary to make that happen! If there’s an ‘FX Alchemist’ ready for this, one can only hope they discover your work and embrace the challenge.
Hey there! Wouldd you mind if I share your blog with my myspace group?
There’s a lot of people that I think would really enjoy your content.
Please let me know. Many thanks
Wow, that’s just so huge! Congratulations! I’ve loved the book and now I can’t wait to see it with my friends in a cinema! š
Hey There. I discovered your blog the usage of msn. This is a
very neatly written article. I’ll make sure to bookmark it and come back to read more of
your helpful information. Thank you for the post. I’ll certainly comeback.
One of the best books I have read. Could not put it down and when I had to I caught myself checking the weather.
As I was reading this amazing book, all I could think about (other than worrying about the characters as though they were real people) was what an amazing movie this would make. Please, please let this happen, and let it happen with the right director and cast–this book is too awesome to be done with less than stellar players! Can’t WAIT!
Loved the book, but can’t find out anything defined about the release of the movie.
Loved the book and wish I could find out more about the movie. It will be a Fantastics movie I am sure.
I am a bit late to the party. But I loved Cyberstorm. Brilliantly horrific and beautiful at the same time. The characters were rich (I loved Chuck).
Kudos and congratulations to you!
